Going green

Just a little history, my pimples started breaking out when I was in my second year of high school. I knew hormones and my diet made a big contribution to my problem…aaaand I also get irritated when pimples appear as well as blackheads and whiteheads, so I tend to pop those things out. Weird as it may sounds, but it gives me bliss when I do that.
Moving on, my family started to notice my face, so we went to this lady’s house. I don’t know if she’s credible enough to have this kind of business but basically she has a “clinic” in her house, similar to a dermatologist’s clinic. She was our go-to when we want a facial for a cheaper price. She also has creams and toners. Her products really did work on my skin, there was a time when I had a pimple free skin. But, our visits to her became less frequent until such time that I wasn't able to buy her products. I used other alternatives after that, but started having pimples again here and there. It was a few years after that I had a chance to use the cream and toner again, but sadly it wasn't working for me anymore. I felt like buying commercial products wouldn't do any good and a waste of money.
Fortunately I was scrolling through facebook until I saw a post about using oils in lieu of soaps. So I did a little research about it and was amazed by what I saw and read. I was curious and excited at the same time to try out the oil cleansing method. I had to search through the internet to find any sellers of cold-pressed oils since only a few oils are available in our country. The grape seed and castor oil was the first oils I bought. Thanks to Zivine Organics. Right now I don’t use the oil cleansing method since I didn’t see any results within a week. I know a week is not enough to judge the method but I am an impatient person. So I decided to just read the instructions on the bottles and directly applied it on my face. When I woke up and felt my protruding pimple I cannot believe that it felt smaller. Result came in overnight! Though it didn't lighten my pimple marks like it claims it can do, but that won’t stop me from using it. Ever since I shifted to using organic products my skin looks glowing, it felt smooth and soft. I'm not gonna use harsh products anymore if I can avoid it.

I've been obsessed with oils lately as you can see. The grape seed body oil isn’t cold-pressed although it has a great smell and leaves your skin so smooth. The rosehip oil was a disappointment. It claims that it can fade stretch marks, wrinkles and scars, but I don’t see results so far. And I don’t like the smell, coming from a rose, you’d think it smells...well, like a rose, but noooo! I use my argan oil as my moisturiser before applying my make-up. It does lives up to its name, the liquid gold. My face feels glowing when I apply it.  And lastly, I use olive oil as my make-up remover since it’s much cheaper compared to my other oils.

Where I bought it:
Grape seed oil body massage- Body Treats (bought it at SM Sta. Rosa Dept. Store)
Cold-pressed grape seed and castor oil- Zivine Organics
Rosehip Oil- Botany works (bought it at Sesou Nature Source)
Oil of Argan- Sesou Nature Source
